South Carolina is well known as having a slave society, with the majority of its population being slaves that were born in Africa. South Carolina also has plenty of history regarding the formation of the United States, as it was one of the first 13 colonies to get Independence from the British Empire.

South Carolina has several important outputs, including tobacco, poultry, cattle, dairy, soybeans, hay, rice, and swine. However, South Carolina is also home to many large corporations, such as Boeing, Domtar, SCANA, Sonoco Products, and ScanSource.
